Welcome to the 2026 School of Nursing Summer Camp!If you’re a high school student eager to explore the nursing profession, join us for our Nursing Camp on Friday, July 3, 2026.
Experience a full day of interactive activities and hands-on training, where you’ll explore patient care and discover diverse and enriching career paths in the field of nursing.
Who can attend?
High school students who have completed Grades 10, 11, or 12.

Nursing Roles and Career Exploration: Discover the diverse roles within the nursing profession and explore its various career paths.
Interactive Workshops: Engage in hands-on sessions led by experienced nurses, where you’ll learn new skills and gain real-world insights.
Clinical Simulation: Immerse yourself in lifelike scenarios at our cutting-edge Clinical Simulation Center, where you’ll reflect on the vital role of nursing in critical settings and its importance within the healthcare team.
Expert Guidance: Benefit from personalized guidance and mentorship from our esteemed nursing faculty, who are committed to sharing their knowledge, addressing your inquiries, and fueling your passion for the profession.
Learn about financial aid: Representatives from the LAU Financial Aid & Scholarships Office will walk you through the financial aid application process.
Networking Opportunities: Forge connections with fellow participants and nursing students who share your dedication to nursing and healthcare. These professional networks will bolster your university academic experience.
Lebanon & LAU Trivia Challenge: Take a break from the clinical side to explore Lebanon. Participate in a fun, competitive quiz about the historic cities of Beirut and Byblos, where LAU’s campuses are located, for a chance to win exciting prizes.
Scholarship Prizes: Compete for scholarships that can cover between 10 and 30 percent of tuition fees*.
LAUMC Rizk Hospital Site Visit (Optional): Get an exclusive tour of the LAU Medical Center–Rizk Hospital (LAUMC-RH). You will shadow nurses in action as they carry out their duties in a clinical setting, moving through various departments to see how a professional healthcare team operates.
*Please note that in addition to these scholarships, the LAU Nursing Program offers financial assistance through the nursing grant and financial aid.

Behind the Scenes at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) A simulated ICU scenario will emphasize the crucial role of nursing in caring for critically-ill patients, demonstrating how nurses use their knowledge and skills to monitor, treat, and serve alongside other healthcare professionals. |

How Nurses Save Lives: Skills That Matter A hands-on session on adult and pediatric Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and choking relief. |

Hands On: Step Into the Role of a Nurse An experiential session on essential nursing skills, including hand hygiene, measuring vital signs, conducting physical assessments and taking patient history. |

Lunch Current nursing students and faculty will join participants for lunch, a chance for networking and casual conversations. |

Wellness 101: Self Care Presentation and interactive discussion on self-care tips, including the importance of exercise, stress management and avoiding harmful habits, such as smoking and excessive screen time. |

Explore Lebanon and Win: The Beirut & Byblos Trivia Challenge A quiz for participants to test their knowledge of Beirut and Byblos, featuring fun questions about the host cities of LAU campuses, with exciting prizes up for grabs. |

Award Distribution and Closing Participants will be recognized for their efforts with certificates of attendance and invited to share their feedback through a post-camp evaluation to help enhance future camp editions. The top five quiz winners—ranking first through fifth—will receive scholarships ranging from 10% to 30%, applied in addition to any financial aid or grants they qualify for. |

Capacity: 40 participants. Registration will close once this capacity is reached.

Registration Fees: $40
Registration deadline: June 25, 2026
Registration fees will cover the following:
- Practical training in nursing skills, including first aid and Basic Life Support
- Two meals
- Engaging and interactive activities
- Certificate of Attendance
