LAU Alice Ramez Chagoury School of Nursing

First ARCSON Alumni Gathering

On the evening of August 10, 2016, the Alice Ramez Chagoury School of Nursing held its first alumni gathering. Thirty-three of the 76 BSN alumni were in attendance, updating each other with news of their professional and personal activities, remembering their university days, and networking about career opportunities.  The formal part of the gathering began with the screening of a new recruiting video, “On the Right Track – Nursing at LAU.” Then Ms. Manwa Ghannoum, Assistant Director of Alumni Relations, introduced the young alumni to the benefits of participating in the LAU Alumni Association and the many ways they can become involved.  Dr. Nancy Hoffart, Founding Dean of Nursing, updated alumni on ARCSON activities, including the School’s 2015-2020 Strategic Plan and the recently signed agreement with the Lebanese American Medical Association to develop programs for current students and alumni. She also introduced them to the incoming Dean of Nursing, Dr. Anahid Kulwicki, who was present to meet and interact with alumni. Dr. Kulwicki will assume the deanship of the School on September 1, 2016, when Dr. Hoffart resigns her position as Founding Dean to return to the USA.
